Nestled in the heart of downtown Saskatoon at River Landing, the Remai Arts Centre is home to the Persephone Theatre, Saskatchewan’s largest regional theatre company. Since its completion in 2007, this cultural hub has become a cherished venue not only for Persephone Theatre but also for the Saskatoon Opera and numerous other performing arts groups in the city.
The building boasts a wealth of amenities, including a 450-seat Proscenium Main Stage theatre and a flexible 150-seat Black Box Second Stage, known as the Backstage Stage, which allows for adaptable stage and seating configurations. Additionally, the facility houses two classrooms, two rehearsal halls, essential administrative offices, a box office, a scene shop, a costume shop, and storage space.
