The Martensville Athletic Pavilion, connected to Martensville High School, is a state-of-the-art sports facility. This project is the first of its kind in the province and combines the use of a Stressed Membrane Structure for the exterior shell and Cross Laminated Timers (CLTs) for the internal walls and floor structure.
The facility features an elevated 200-metre running track, a weight room and fitness facility with a stretching area, a concession, multipurpose rooms, and three tournament-size basketball, volleyball, and badminton courts, which can be converted quickly to indoor soccer or community events/trade show space.
This project was developed through a partnership between the City of Martensville, the Prairie Spirit School Division, and the numerous corporate sponsors.
